The new centre is built for storing cargo released from customs, releasing it in parts and distributing it to the regions. The racking has been converted to pallet storage, which fits considerably more cargo into the same floor area.
A four-dock platform has been installed in the loading area, roughly halving container unloading time. The effect is clearest on groupage cargo: distribution that used to take a day now finishes within a few hours.
The warehouse has CCTV and round-the-clock security. Customers continue to receive their receiving reports, photographs included, electronically as before.
A temperature-controlled section is planned for the next phase — a long-standing request from customers working in food supplements and cosmetics.
